CAC donates disinfection machine and water tanks to the Civil Defense

Publicado el 26/05/2020

As part of the response to the support network in the country, the Consorcio Azucarero Central (CAC) provided a water pressure disinfection machine to the Barahona Civil Defense, as well as two water tanks with a capacity of 264 gallons each.

In this way, the sugar company continues to collaborate with various institutions in the region, while punctually supporting the disinfection days carried out by this institution to prevent the advance of COVID-19.

The delivery was made by Julio Fernández, Communications Superintendent of CAC, who highlighted the detached and generous work carried out by Civil Defense volunteers, especially in these moments where practicing solidarity actions is the best way to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Also present was Mr. Esteban Marine, coordinator of Community Relations.

On the other hand, Augusto Moreta, director of the organization, received the articles and thanked this and other donations that the sugar company has made over time.

Since the coronavirus pandemic began, CAC has been strengthening its commitment to help fight it by making a series of contributions to different entities in the Enriquillo Region.
